July 4th

We had a great day full of doing nothing today. Mr. and Mrs. Magnone are in town and my parents came up for lunch. We ate SO MUCH FOOD - hamburgers, chips, dip, crackers, grapes, cherries, dessert - you name it, we ate it. Grandma came too - had a great visit and after hanging for several hours headed outside to watch the firworks. Allen Parkway and Eleanor Tinsley Park are just a couple of blocks away so we could see and hear EVERYTHING from our house - very cool. Here are some pics of the fireworks - Mr. Magnone got this with his camera phone.

Standing there watching these with my family - I just thought how lucky I am...really really lucky. The 4th of July is a really special holiday for this country - I do hope everyone takes the time to be thankful today and think of all of those fighting for our freedom every day.

Changing subjects - Monday I got a very pleasant surprise at work - FLOWERS! My Dad has been through lots of health stuff lately and he surprised me at work with a dozen roses and a card that made me cry...telling me thank you for being there over the past few weeks. I'm so lucky to have such an awesome family and it's rough when those who are strongest around you are sick and feeling badly. I love him very much and am so thankful he's ok - he's having a MRI done tomorrow - hoping to figure out what this pain is in his chest. Sucks... Here are my gorgeous flowers - had to brag on my Daddy - so sweet.

One more subject - we had our couples shower last weekend and Leslie and Bill REALLY surprised us... It was awesome! I'll most pics and the full story when I get the rest of them from Ms. Erika - we had a lot of fun...am definitely looking forward to all this wedding stuff coming up...
Two more months - I can hardly wait! =)
Happy 4th of July!

This comment has nothing to do with the 4th of July, but I just wanted everyone to know that my Jennifer is a Wonderful Child. #1
