Family Fun in The Big Apple

This past weekend Marc's Mom and Dad came to visit and we had a great time. It was Mom Magnone's first time in NYC and I think she had a blast for her first go round - at least I hope so! We did a lot of sight-seeing, tons of eating (as usual) and some much needed catching up as we haven't seen each other since March at Easter. Below are some of the pictures from the weekend - thanks so much for coming up Mom and Dad Magnone, we LOVED you being here. Finally got to see Wicked and it was AMAZING! It's probably my favorite theatrical show that I've ever seen - I LOVED the story. My family has been telling me to go forever and it was everything they said it would be - I can't wait to go back! JILL - you MUST see this if you haven't!

Of course, a family visit wouldn't be complete without a late night visit to Times Square and Junior's, of course. We headed there after Wicked for late night dessert.

Next night was Peter Lugar's - the steakhouse of all steakhouses. Below you'll see WHY it's so famous and how HUGE their plates are!! Yes - that's all steak....

Great wine - Mr. Magnone spoiled us - it was delicious!

Above is Marc's typical look after Peter Lugar's. Below are some picture from the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn bridge - we headed over there for some night-time sight-seeing after dinner.

The above picture is my favorite of the four waterfalls being featured all over the Hudson right now - definitely worth checking out...they are beautiful!

Saturday we headed to Lombardi's for an early lunch - Marc invited several of his NY friends from Merritt Island for a little reunion with the Magnone crew.

Of course, no trip to Little Italy is complete without a dessert trip to Ferrara's...

The original Merritt Island crew from 'way back when'...you should hear some of the Little League baseball stories coming out of these guys!

We headed to St. Patrick's for mass on Sunday - nice ceremony and nice to be together with family in church on a Sunday morning.

After church we headed to Hard Rock for lunch and then to see Jersey Boys - another EXCELLENT show...maybe my favorite ever. Another great story, great music, loved the whole performance.

We had a great time - can't wait for the next trip!
