First Pics of Hurricane Ike Damage in Mont Belvieu - Fisher's Landing
Grannie just sent these pictures over to me so I can see what things look like at her house - yuck! Thought I'd share...as I get more from my parents I'll post those too. Thank GOD everyone is safe...what a mess. Looks like Gran will need a new roof and fence as of now. I am happy to report that the Mont Belvieu clan has power and water as of yesterday evening so things are SLOWLY getting back to normal...Mom and Dad both went into work today. Mom's building is damaged (One Houston Center) but workable and Dad's out at Exxon, trying to put the Baytown Refinery back together. I know everyone in America is hoping for the best outcome there as those docks are a major supplier of all the outside commodities coming into the south... i.e. The sooner their back online, the sooner gas prices might go down a little...
Sorry I'm not there to help clean up, Grannie and Phillip but I'm SO THANKFUL the damage wasn't worse and that you both are safe. Love you - happy healing at the Jenkins home!
