On a Serious Note...

A few of you have questioned me lately about when my confirmation is going to take place. For anyone that is interested in attending, mark your calendars! My confirmation into the Catholic Church will take place on Saturday, April 7th... Not sure exactly what time but it will be in the evening and will take place at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, TX 77025. This is a very special day for Marc and I as well as our families - thanks to everyone for your support through this RCIA class and time of reflection and learning in my life. I'm looking forward to April 7th - my first time to receive The Lord's Supper/Eucharist in a Catholic Church. This is a REALLY big deal...at least for me it is. =)

G-G-G-Gig 'Em Aggies!!!

Kudos to the #7 ranked Texas A&M Aggies who knocked off Texas last night with a convincing 100-82 victory! So proud to be an Aggie and watch Texas walk off the court with thier heads hanging...so sweet! A&M has been the underdog for so many years in this rivalry that it's nice to finally see a beaming light at the end of the losing tunnel - A&M is now a basketball school, who would have thought it!? And not only are we beating Texas, we are beating lots of other excellent basketball talent as well - I can't wait for the tournament. Road trip, anyone? =)

On a side note, for all those Ags out there who know about the messy "lawsuit" Texas is filing concerning the Saw Em Off logo - be sure and check out this website www.sawemoff.com to see how you can help in winning this battle. My brother bought the family t-shirts to help raise money for the law team who is fighting this ridiculous lawsuit - I hope that Texas realizes how stupid they are making themselves look. And besides that, even IF they do win (which is highly unlikely), what are they going to do about students like these who will NEVER LET IT GO?
