Shower Numero Dos

The lovely ladies who watched me grow up since i was a tiny little girl threw me a shower in Highlands a couple of weekends ago. We had such a fun time and it was so awesome to see all these wonderful women who've influenced my lives in so many ways over the years. I finally got to see the dishes that Marc and I picked out - really never thought I'd be so excited over dishes. I actually used to make fun of people who felt that way - funny how things change... =) Anyway, thanks to all those wonderful ladies and to Ms. Angi who was my sole bridesmaid representative - you get a shout out, my love! =) Also thanks to little miss Ellie Rose who is all grown up now - can't wait to see you in your beautiful dress at the wedding. I look forward to spending more time with you hun - had a great time shopping and having "cousin conversations" that weekend. Our Fab and Fantastic Couples Shower

My fantastic bridemaids put together an awesome couples shower for Marc and I - we had a great time at our Mexican Food and Drink Fiesta; they really do know me well. =) The best part of the shower - the suprise the night before when Angi made me take her to the airport to "pick up a friend" and who should appear BUT Leslie and Bill, all the way from Tampa, Florida. Talk about emotional moments - it was so SO so great to see them. We had a really good time together that weekend - wish we lived closer together! Catching Up

Sooo...it's been a little while since I've written. Things have been crazy - to say the least. A quick rundown of a few of the challenges over the past month in my life:
*Dad developed Bell's Palzy about a week after getting out of the hospital - great news though...we now know that his face will return to normal and no permanent damage was done - only has to deal with minor paralysis on his left side for a month or so
*Grandma.........well, let's just say that Grandma has been through a lot over the past month or so - we ALL have when it comes to this situation - she fell down several times and was acting very abnormal - she's been in St. Luke's for the past 2 weeks - am happy to report she was released from the hospital on Thursday and we have high hopes that things will be A LOT better moving forward
*Just Energy is now U.S. Energy Savings - pretty cool - I got to plan the brand launch and now have moved into a Marketing Specialist role for the state of Texas and our new, rapidly growing company...it's almost the position I've always wanted - am excited about the road ahead
*Planning the wedding - WOW - don't know where to even start there. I have to say that this process has taught me more about the people around me than I ever knew - you learn a lot planning a wedding - some good, some bad, but in the end - exactly what you need to know when you head into the direction of starting your new life
*On the wedding note - the invitations ARE OUT! Didn't receive yours? Pretty sure you should have been invited? Thinking I'm a horrible person because you haven't received your invite yet? Well, THINGS HAPPEN WITH THE MAIL......please PLEASE please let me know if you haven't received your invitation, friends and family - hopefully we didn't lose any invites on the way but just in case - thought I'd let you know to be looking for them.

OK - so - all of that has put me on an emotional roller coaster - notice I haven't mentioned Marc much in any of the above... The reason why? Because he has been my support - my rock - my best friend - the perfect soon to be husband who I can't wait to marry. I have come home crying, balling, screaming, silent, angry, upset, happy, crazy, so tired - every emotion I knew I could have....I've had that emotion in the past month. When bad things happen to your family, it really reminds you of what's important - the coolest part is that I was able to lean on him and he helped so much - he's my soul mate, my family, my everything - and I get to marry him in a month. =) How lucky am I?
